A little about us...

Hello and welcome to Tree Ticker!

We are a close family team working from a cosy Shepherd's Hut office and small workshop in rural Herefordshire, England.

Our watches...

Tree Ticker was founded from a love of watches and wood - a renewable and sustainable resource.  Every Tree Ticker wooden watch is different, due to the grains and cut of wood, which assures that every watch is as unique as it’s future owner.

We only use wood from responsible sources. Our wood originates from forests that are responsibly managed and environmentally conscious. All of our watches are handcrafted using non-toxic materials, which makes all of our watches hypoallergenic and easy on the skin. For materials other than the wood case such as the strap, dial and hands, we try our best to use materials that allow us to achieve the right balance between environmentally friendly, quality and style.

Nearly all our watches can be engraved with a personalised message which adds that special, one-of-a-kind touch that will ensure your gift will be treasured for years to come. Using our high precision industrial laser engraving machine, we only charge an extra £9.50 to engrave your watch with a message of your choice - have a look in more detail here.

As much as possible our packaging comes from recycled sources and can be recycled again after use. We only build product packaging that can be recycled or re-used, such as kraft paper or wooden boxes. We try to use as little plastic as possible during transport and replace the typical packing foam by recycled paper or recycled plastic. Sometimes we may use bubble wrap to protect our watch boxes during transportation - however this has not been purchased by us and is being re-used.

Our Vision...

Our aim as a company is to have a zero carbon footprint and make a positive impact to the environment.

Whilst using our brand 'Tree Ticker' as a platform, we strive to use this to raise awareness of, and support an issue close to our hearts - Climate Change.  As well as ensuring our watches are crafted from reclaimed wood and reusable materials where possible, we directly support Trees For Life - a charity based in Scotland which focus on forest restoration in the Scottish Highlands. The trees they have planted have and will continue to transform bare hillsides into healthy young woodland, rich in wildlife and protected for future generations. One million trees have already been planted!

We plant trees for every watch sold. For every Tree Ticker watch purchased, we donate a small portion of the cost to Trees For Life. This donation funds the planting of new trees in the Scottish Caledonian Forest, which ensures the carbon emissions we produce as a result of making watches are 'offsetted' by the trees we fund to be planted. We have calculated how many trees need to be planted to neutralise our carbon footprint based on how many watches we produce - as a result we are able to run Tree Ticker as a close to carbon neutral company.

By offsetting carbon in the wild Caledonian Forest, we are also supporting a globally unique habitat.

Rescue The Reds! The red squirrel is one of Britain’s most iconic and beloved mammals. Once the most common squirrel in the UK and native for 2.6 million years, they are now under threat, primarily due to the introduction of the non-native invasive grey squirrel from North America. We donate to the Red Squirrel South West Project (RSSW) who are a fantastic charity formed to restore the red squirrel to favourable conservation status throughout the South West of England. The charity was established in 2008 by a small group of land owners. The South West has three successful red squirrel colonies, on Brownsea Island, the Scilly Isles, and the Isle of Wight.

If you would like to make a donation, you can donate directly through their website, or we also have a donation option at our checkout. We transfer donations to the RSSW monthly.

We know that we can help to rescue the reds together and bring balance back to our woodlands!
